Got PFAS? Now What?!Â
2.0 PDHsÂ
So, you have been working on a remediation project for quite some time and you just recently tested for PFAS. Unfortunately, the laboratory data shows that – in fact – you have PFAS contamination. Now what? What are the treatment options? Who do you call next?
This 2-hour EnviroClass will answer all of your questions and help put your mind at ease as you begin putting together a remedial plan. Phil Farina from Clear Creek Systems and Yasemin Kunukcu, PhD from WSP are the speakers, and they are PFAS leaders in our industry.
Yasemin Kunukcu is a VP and Sr Remediation Specialist at WSP, and she has over 20 years of experience specializing in the design and implementation of site-specific remedial solutions for soil and groundwater contaminated with emerging contaminants. Her focus on emerging contaminants over the last two decades has promoted awareness and improved the understanding of the sources, occurrence, fate and transport, and behavior of these compounds in natural and treatment environments. Dr. Kunukcu is currently serving on the ITRC PFAS and Microplastics teams.
Phil Farina has a BS in Biology, a BA in Psychology, and an MS in Virology at Rutgers University. He then completed an MBA in Chemical Marketing at Fairleigh Dickenson University, and he currently holds the position of Midwest BD Manager for Clear Creek Systems, a full-service water treatment solution provider. For the past 35 years, he has been focused on the development of water treatment technology solutions for the CCR, remediation, and PFAS markets. He has been instrumental in bringing new technical solutions to the water treatment industry.
